Getting Started with ClipWiki

After installing the ClipWiki extension, a Default book will be created automatically. You can start clipping web content immediately.

Main Features

1. Clipping Web Content

To clip an entire page: Open the ClipWiki popup from your installed extensions, then click the "Clip" button.

To clip a specific selection: Highlight text or an image on any webpage, right-click, and select "Clip to Wiki" from the context menu.

2. Viewing and Managing Clips

View Clips: The left panel shows a list of clips in your currently selected book. Click on a clip's title to view its content in the right panel.

Delete Clips: Click on a clip's title to select it. To select multiple clips, hold down the Ctrl key while clicking. Click the "Delete" button.

Move Clips (Pro Feature): Select one or more clips you want to move. Click the "Move" button. A prompt will ask for the destination book's name. Enter the name of an existing book and click "OK".

3. Managing Books (Pro Features)

Create a New Book: Open the ClipWiki popup. Click the "New" button. Enter a name for your new book and click "OK".

Switch Books: Use the dropdown menu to select the book you want to view or clip to.

Delete a Book: Navigate to the book you wish to delete using the dropdown. Click the "Del" button.

Note: You can only delete empty books (those without any clips). The "Default" book cannot be deleted.

4. Searching and Exporting (Pro Features)

Search Content: Click the "Search" button. Enter your search term in the prompt. A temporary "Search Results" book will appear in your dropdown, containing all clips that match your search.

Export a Book: Select the book you wish to export from the dropdown. Click the "Export" button. The book will be downloaded as a single HTML file, perfect for archiving or offline viewing.

5. Other Settings

Dark Mode (Pro Feature): Click the slider button in the popup to toggle the interface's color scheme.

Upgrade: Obtain a License Key from Gumroad: https://gumroad.com/products/trszml, or Click the "Buy Pro" button in the popup to open the ClipWiki product site (above link) where you can purchase a Lifetime License Key. Once you've obtained a key click the "Enter License Key" button in the popup to enter your license key and unlock all Pro features.
